Lindsey Delisle Prosperie Unraveled: An Interview
Hailling from Southeast Texas, Lindsey is a young artist whose double exposures have captivated many. Her work is both intuitive and edgy, and she teaches us how to achieve these works of art in her lesson, Creative Double Exposures, launching today at the Academy. Here she is, Unraveled.
What inspires your art? I can't really explain it, I've always just had the urge to make cool art, like I just wake up and wonder what I can create that day.
What do you shoot with? Camera body and favorite lens? I shoot with a Nikon D750 and currently use a 50 mm 1.8 but I wouldn't necessarily call it my favorite.
What other ways do you express your creativity? I've always loved to draw!
How do you de-stress at the end of the day? Binge watch Netflix What kind of music do you listen to while editing? Rock & rap.
What is your favorite book? Eh I don't really read.
Name one movie that inspires you. Given!
How do you handle self-doubt or creative slumps? Lots of coffee and music! When I'm in a slump I'll listen to certain music artists who inspire me, that plus a good cup of coffee gets me fired back up!
What has been the most difficult part of your creative journey? The creative slumps. I'm very high and low with my art. Some weeks I have all these great new ideas and then I have some weeks where I have no clue what I want to do next. That's where the coffee and music come in.
Who is one of your favorite photographers? Ah I don't think I can only pick one, I love Twyla Jones & Brandon Woelfel.
