Welcome artists,
Here at Unraveled Academy, we open our doors to all those who are looking for a place to feel at home in their creative lives. We hope that UA is every student’s safe harbor to share their work and grow. We strongly believe that giving artists a community where they can both learn and teach is the key to gaining confidence, finding your voice and feeling both empowered and inspired. With students of every skill level within our community, there is always something to learn and something to teach.
This week in the Academy, we talked a lot about Unposed, a lecture by Coleen Hodges. Our students dug in, asked questions, watched live videos of Co shooting and editing and learned how to trust themselves and the moment.
We also asked our students to share some of their favorite images with us and to also share what inspired that image, if they wished. We had the hardest time choosing our favorite images to share this week because all the talent and moments captured left us in awe. Complete and utter awe.

By Kelly Patterson, "Just signed up to unraveled. Watched Unposed by Coleen Hodges which I absolutely LOVED! I’m not a pro photographer. It’s a hobby and much loved outlet which I took up last year. Despite it being summer in OZ it was a particularly dark and doomy day yesterday. I live in an old house so is very low light. Anyway, I grabbed my camera after watching the tutorial and snapped this one of my son."
