CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NEWEST UNRAVELED ARTIST OF THE YEAR…

Tracy Dawn:

TRACY DAWN is a digital and film photographer based in Kelowna. Not only is she a valued member of Unraveled Academy—she’s also an instructor, creative force, and deeply observant artist.

Tracy doesn’t just document life—she notices it. The overlooked glances. The grit. The quiet glimmers of magic most people miss. Her work leans into stillness and story, never needing to shout to be heard. There’s a rawness to it—not in the trendy, performative way—but in a way that feels lived-in and real.

She builds a quiet trust with her subjects that you can feel in every frame. Whether it’s a sun-drenched moment with a child or the small, instinctive comfort between partners, Tracy has a way of showing you something you didn’t even realize you needed to feel again.

Congratulations, Tracy, on being nominated as Unraveled Academy’s Artist of the Year.
And cheers to all of the incredible artists featured this week—you continue to show up, and it shows.
