What inspired your art?

Big names - Helmut Newton, Guy Bourdin, Martin Parr, Henri Cartier Bresson, Alec Soth, Robert Capa

What do you shoot with? Camera body and favorite lens?

Leica mp240 35mm Summilux f1.4 and Mamiya 7 with 80 mm f4

What other ways do you express your creativity?

Experimenting with the visual arts.

How do you de-stress at the end of the day?

Biking, cats, headspace, music...Netflix - cuz why not?

What kind of music do you listen to while editing?

I’m a slave to my moods - right now I’ve been digging GUS GUS, Kraftwerk, Catz&Dogz and some other electronic music scene.

What is your favorite book?

I love Tolkien books however I often get into Penelope Fitzgerald or Ian Fleming

Name one movie that inspires you.

The Pi Number, Black Swan and I love Alfred Hitchcock.

How do you handle self-doubt or creative slumps?

I read books, visit galleries, and run personal projects.

What has been the most difficult part of your creative journey?

Sustaining.

Pawel, Can you tell us why album creation is so important?

Why the album creation is important in the photography business? First of all, in the times of quick life, millions of pictures taken every day on the phone - the value of prints is crucial to the photography business, as a professional photographer you are obligated to deliver the prints - why? For the simple reason - your clients need to see the value in a printed work, the prints physical will wake up memory, you can't hang a pen drive on a wall. Before Digital era in photography, you would get only print and that's pretty much all, today while we have phones, polaroids, digital cameras we forget how much content we produce every day, and it would be super nice to have a professionally printed and framed picture. Hanging memories on the wall, printing albums was always a domain of wealth people when you look through the glass of history, kings, presidents, wealthy people you could find paintings of them, later on through the photography medium, you can find those prints in the museums and art galleries.
To be honest, your client house is your private gallery for your prints, not to mention if your beautiful pictures are hanging on the wall - all the guests of the house will see them and probably ask your client - hey who made you that beautiful photographs? - that's your win! In QTAlbums our mission is to educate about the importance of the print and a physical copy of your work delivered to your client.
