What inspired your art?

My boys, the way they interact and love and live also the way time moves so fast and the way all the little details change with it.

What do you shoot with?

Camera body and favorite lens? Nikon D750, I shoot most of my work with the nikkor 35 1.8, I also have the 50 1.4 and 85 1.8.

What other ways do you express your creativity?

I love exploring new places by myself. i love going for a walk or a hike or run down a new trail.

How do you de-stress at the end of the day?

I don’t do a lot at the end of the day to be honest. I do however have a good morning routine that I find sets my day off right. Im prone to anxiety and like to wake up an hour early before my kids to ground myself for the day. I grab a coffee, do some journaling, read a book or spend some moments in prayer all before the chaos of the day begins.

What kind of music do you listen to while editing?

Usually podcasts or folky playlists on spotify. Recent favourite is Ingrid Michaelson

What is your favorite book?

A Million little ways- Emily. P. Freeman

Name one movie that inspires you.

This might be super lame, but Petes Dragon. The colour, and way it was filmed, it’s such a sweet movie.

How do you handle self-doubt or creative slumps?

This is a journey isnt it. I try to handle the self doubt, by watching and listening to inspiring content. Im learning that you have to be careful with social media to create more than you consume and to as often as possible turn in and reflect on what you are trying say. Its easier said than done though isn't it.

What has been the most difficult part of your creative journey?

Finding my voice and my why. I dont think Im quite there yet.

Who is one of your favorite photographers?

This is a hard one, because there is really so many that I look up to for so many reasons. I’ve learned so much from Jayme Ford through Unraveled Academy and her presence on social media.
