What gear did you use for this shoot?

I shot this session with my canon eos R and sigma 35mm 1.4 art. I am so in love with this set up it is literally all I’ve ever had, no other lenses or bodies my whole “professional” career.

What was your “muse” or inspiration for this shoot?

My muse for this session? That’s a hard one to pin down. I think the best explanation is just that I am in love with all things vintage and nostalgic. I romanticize the simpler times and truly enjoy the look of photos from 1920s era. One day I was driving downtown in a neighboring city and noticed the train station and I immediately knew I had to capture its beauty. I wanted the photos to really capture the time when this station would have been booming, at the peak of train travel! Even thinking about it now to answer this, I am so taken with the imagery that comes to mind! Often when I have ideas for sessions I can “see” it all in my head before I even execute and this is one of those session; getting to bring it to life was a literal dream come true.
