The Muse is our way of bringing inspiration to the creative world. Seeing a photographer for just one picture is not the whole picture… so we are bringing you more, to give you a deeper look into the artists who inspire us and we call, muses.

What was your “muse” or inspiration for this shoot?

This intimate elopement was shot on the west coast of Vancouver island on the beaches of Ucluelet and Tofino British Columbia, Canada. The first look was in an old-growth rainforest between rays of sunshine catching the fabric of the brides vintage nightgown styled wedding dress barefoot and surrounded by moss and raindrops from the storm the night before.

I found inspiration everywhere in the small surfing town —the way the light danced through the leaves, the fishing boats and coffee shops, the quiet sandy beach where the couple got engaged a year earlier. We spent four days exploring beaches barefoot, experiencing the seafood cuisine, and witnessing their elopement love story unfold intertwined with nature and the sea.
