You don’t find your voice in isolation. You find it in rooms where people are brave enough to share theirs.
And that’s exactly what we see from the Artists of Unraveled in these weekly features. Not perfection, but honesty. This is what happens when you stop trying to shoot like everyone else and start trusting what feels right to you.
If you’ve been hanging back, waiting until it feels more you, here’s your reminder. Your voice doesn’t just show up one day. It’s built in spaces like this. In community. In sharing. In being seen.
So post the photo. Share the messy one. Let it be a little unfinished, a little instinctive, a little yours.
That’s where it begins.

Historically, photography has been a male-dominated industry. That’s not the case at Unraveled.
Maybe it’s because we focus more on emotion, storytelling, and shooting from the heart than gear and technical perfection. Maybe it’s just the kind of space we’ve created. Either way, it’s been our experience from the very beginning.
And it’s never been intentional. We’re not trying to exclude anyone. We just know that when we show up as ourselves, the right people find their way here.
Stijn Willems is one of those people.
Stijn has been a member of Unraveled for just over a year now, and his work speaks for itself. An award-winning wedding photographer based in Leuven, Belgium, he is also a husband and father of three. He brings a level of depth, emotion, and storytelling that fits so naturally within this community.
And maybe even more importantly, he’s just an absolute delight of a human.
