Lia Marie Pizarro
We are so honored to celebrate Lia Marie Pizarroas this week’s Unraveled Artist of the Year.
Lia Pizarro has been part of Unraveled since 2020, and you can see the consistency in how she approaches her work. She’s not trying to make things look perfect—she’s documenting what’s actually happening, especially in the middle of motherhood and raising kids. There’s a steadiness to it. She knows what matters and doesn’t overcomplicate it.
This image is a good example of that. It’s messy, a little chaotic, and completely honest. Kids covered in mud, mid-movement, not performing for the camera. She didn’t step in to fix it or redirect it—she let it happen. Even the rainbow in the background feels secondary, like it just showed up and she noticed. And the edit is chefs kiss.
