Unraveled Artist Feature | June 24th, 2026

Happy Summer Solstice, friends.

The longest days of the year are here, which means more golden evenings, more chances to chase light, more opportunities to pick up our cameras, and more excuses to create just for the joy of creating.

There is something special about this season. The pace softens a little. The sun lingers a little longer. Inspiration seems to find its way into everyday moments if we're willing to slow down enough to notice it.

As always, our artists continue to remind us what is possible when we stay curious, keep creating, and follow the light wherever it leads.

This week's featured images are a celebration of that spirit. We hope they inspire you to get outside, make something beautiful, and soak up every bit of this creative season.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NEWEST UNRAVELED ARTIST OF THE YEAR…

Amber Thorson

There is something magical about the way Amber Thorson photographs childhood.

There is something magical about the way Amber Thorson photographs childhood.

This image feels like summer itself. The low perspective, the endless sky, the tiny outstretched hands, and the joy on this little one's face all work together to remind us what it feels like to experience the world before we become too busy to look up.

A longtime member and instructor within Unraveled Academy, Amber has a gift for creating images that feel both playful and deeply emotional. Her work consistently celebrates connection, movement, and the beauty hidden within everyday moments. Rather than simply documenting childhood, she invites us to step back into it.

This image is a perfect example of why Amber's work resonates with so many of us. It's simple, honest, and full of life. It makes you pause for a moment and remember what it felt like to be held high above the world, believing you could almost touch the sky.

We especially love the generous use of negative space. The sky becomes part of the story, making this little one feel both small and limitless at the same time. It's the kind of photograph that feels effortless, but we know is anything but. Every choice from composition to the edit works together to create an image that feels joyful, nostalgic, and unmistakably Amber.

Congratulations to ALL the featured Artists of Unraveled.

Keep learning. Keep growing. Keep creating.
