Ah gosh, what can we say about Kishelle? She is the life of the party! For real though. She is, of course, incredibly talented, but more than that, she is one of the funnest and liveliest humans to be around. She will wake you right up with her personality and smile. She’s always laughing the loudest and pouring the wine. We had the pleasure of meeting her at the 2018 Unraveled Retreat and we loved her energy so much that we invited her to be the official “house mama” for the retreat in May 2019. So, if you are coming, get all the snuggles, laughs and wine from her. Anyway, she is one of our most recent Unraveled Expert Artists and we could not be more proud to have her with us. We know the future is bright for her here at UA. Rock on Kish.

Here is Kishelle, Unraveled….
What inspires your art?
Love and the movement of humans. My main goal of my art is to show my children (and others) that REAL love does exist.
Also the movement of humans. I love watching the way humans interact, the way our bodies react to conversation, emotions, anything really.
What do you shoot with?
Camera: Canon 5D mkIV
Lens: Canon 35mm L II
I very rarely change lens but when I do, it's my Canon 50mm.
What other ways do you express your creativity?
I love to sew and am constantly putting some kind of art project for my toddlers.
How do you destress at the end of the day?
My nighttime routine with my kiddos is my favorite. We read, we sing, we talk. All of it really brings down the hype of the day and helps ease me into the rest of the night. A nice cold IPA and the couch helps.
What kind of music do you listen to while editing?
Feel good music. It's hard for me to listen to slower melodies because mainly I edit at night so it would put me to sleep but anything with a good melody and beat- i'm down for it.
What is your favorite book?
The art of racing in the rain.
But very close for favorite would be Big Magic.
Name one movie that inspires you?
Pete's Dragon.
How do you handle self-doubt or creative slumps?
Take a breather. I've tried shooting thought the slumps but i find i'm extra hard on myself during those times so I found just simply taking a break helps. Also revisiting my website from a client view and looking at all my work that is awesome.
What has been the most difficult part of your creative journey?
Mom guilt.
Taking time away from my kids is tough but I think in the long run, they will appreciate that i am doing something for myself.
