Baby, we’re back.
The Artist Feature submissions this week were GOOD. Like, really good.
Maybe it’s summer winding down. Maybe it’s everyone settling back into some kind of routine. Maybe we’re all just ready to make shit again. Whatever it is, we can feel it.
You guys are creating, experimenting, showing up, and sharing your work—and it feels like the whole community is getting locked back in right alongside you.
We’re ready to create. We’re ready to learn. We’re ready to see what everyone makes this fall.
Here’s what the Artists of Unraveled have been up to this week.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NEWEST UNRAVELED ARTIST OF THE YEAR…
✨ Our NEWEST 2026 Artist of the Year is Kayla Fitz Jacob ✨
Kayla is a Florida-based photographer who has been part of Unraveled since 2024, and she is one of those artists who just keeps showing up. Week after week, we’ve had the chance to watch her work evolve, and somewhere along the way it became so beautifully refined and so distinctly hers that we can spot a Kayla image before we even see the name attached to it.
And isn’t that what we’re all working toward? Not just making beautiful photographs, but making photographs that look and feel like us.
We loved this one immediately. The golden light, her subject’s quiet expression, and especially the photographer in the foreground it feels like we’ve been dropped right into the middle of the session. It’s warm and intimate and beautifully observed without trying too hard to be anything.
Congratulations, Kayla. We love watching you grow, and we’re so damn happy to have your work here.
