Summer is beautiful, but it can also be overwhelming. Many of us are building or maintaining a business, keeping up with the day-to-day, making meals, folding laundry, answering emails, and somehow trying to make summer feel magical for your kids.
Yes, vacations, boat rides, and water parks create wonderful memories. But so does the sweet taste of a freshly picked strawberry. So does an evening walk, a trip to the farmers market, catching fireflies, or simply slowing down long enough to be together.
However you're showing up for your business and your family this season, you are enough. Your children won't remember whether every day was perfectly planned.
They'll remember how it felt to be with you.

Marissa Gagnon
This week's Artist of the Year is Marissa Gagnon.
Marissa is a Grand Rapids photographer who is relatively new to our community, having joined Unraveled just this past March. In just a few short months, she's already made an impression with her thoughtful storytelling and beautiful eye for everyday moments.
There is a quiet confidence in Marissa's work that immediately drew us in. She isn't chasing elaborate locations or overcomplicated concepts. Instead, she has a remarkable ability to find beauty in the ordinary and let genuine connection take center stage.
Her photographs feel warm, lived in, and deeply honest. There's an intentional simplicity to the way she sees the world, allowing emotion to become the subject. Whether she's documenting a family, a fleeting childhood moment, or a quiet interaction, her work has a softness that invites you to slow down and stay awhile.
Her winning image of a mother sharing a freshly picked strawberry with her little one perfectly reflects that approach. It's simple, heartfelt, and reminds us that some of life's most meaningful moments are also the quietest.
