Unraveled Artist Feature | July 22nd, 2026
Summer is officially here, and if you're anything like us, you're juggling a busy photography season, running a business, and trying to keep the kids entertained. Needless to say... we dropped the ball this week.
We completely forgot to post our weekly Student Feature thread in the private Facebook group until Monday, leaving everyone just 48 hours to submit their work. But wow, you all showed up. Maybe creatives really do thrive under pressure, because this ended up being one of the hardest weeks yet to narrow down our features.

Rycaia Frost
Rycaia Frost is a photographer based out of Florida who has only been part of the UA community for the past six months, but she's already proven herself to be one to watch. We've seen a noticeable evolution in her work in a short amount of time, with each new image showing more confidence, intention, and a distinct visual voice.
This photograph is a perfect example of why her work stands out. The composition feels effortless, yet every element is carefully considered from the mirrored pose of the subjects to the reflective light, water, and color. It's an image that feels both playful and intimate while capturing that fleeting summer feeling.
We're excited to see where Rycaia's creative journey takes her next, and we're stokedto recognize her as this week's Artist of the Year.
