Unraveled Artist Feature | May 6th, 2026
There’s something powerful about watching someone stop shrinking. The ones who second-guessed every frame, who almost sold their cameras, who sat quietly in the background wondering if they were “good enough” to be here in the first place.
One of the most amazing parts of building Unraveled over the past decade is that we’ve had a frontrow seat to it all. We’ve watched artists at the very beginning and we’ve watched those same artists hit walls, walk away, question everything, and find their way back again. We’ve grown alongside you through the real stuff. The life-altering, soul-cracking, perspective-shifting moments. The quiet seasons. The breaking points. And the rebuilds that follow.
And somehow, through all of it, this space has held. A place where art isn’t just created lifelong connections have been made. Where people come not just to learn, but to be seen. Where connection runs deeper than algorithms and likes.
This week’s Artist Feature is a reflection of that. From the ones who have been here since day one to those just finding their footing inside these walls—we see you. The risks you’re taking. The stories you’re telling. The versions of yourself you’re stepping into.
This space is yours.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NEWEST UNRAVELED ARTIST OF THE YEAR…
Amanda Dietschweiler
There are images that feel styled… and then there are images that you can tell were created in the moment from the artist’s mind’s eye.
This image is exactly that.
The intention behind it, the restraint, the humor, the detail… it’s all so dialed in it almost feels effortless, but in a way that shows this image was created by listening to the creator’s gut. A couple who loves records, translated into something that feels both nostalgic and entirely original, despite the concept being done before. The album choices couldn’t be more perfect. The way their bodies mirror each other. Even the subtle lift of his hair above the record… it’s the kind of detail you don’t force, you notice. And that’s the difference. Amanda doesn’t just create, she pays attention.
The edit is flawless. The tones, the warmth, the cohesion… it all holds the story exactly where it needs to be.
This is what happens when vision meets trust and experience.
And that’s exactly why we’re naming Amanda Deichweiler of Amanda Jen Photography as this week’s Unraveled Artist of the Year.
Amanda is an OG in every sense of the word. We’ve watched her from the early days, soaking it all in, experimenting, finding her footing, to now running a thriving wedding business that feels completely aligned with who she is. But even that doesn’t fully capture her.
She’s a creative in the truest sense. Not just behind the camera, but in the way she moves through her life. A mother who homeschools. A woman who builds a life rooted in intention and curiosity and care. Someone whose creativity spills far beyond photography and into everything she touches.
And if you’ve ever been around her, you know. She’s light. She’s warmth. She’s the kind of person who makes you feel instantly at ease, seen, and safe to be yourself.
Amanda, we see you. We’ve seen the evolution, the risk-taking, the growth over the years, the creativity and knowing within you.
This image is just one piece of it. But it says so much.
And it’s more than enough.
Congratulations Amanda and to all the featured Aryists of Unraveled!
