Unraveled Artist Feature | July 8th, 2026

Some weeks, a collection of photographs lands in front of us and reminds us exactly why we built this community in the first place.

This week's Artist Feature is one of those weeks. It's an eclectic mix of longtime Unraveled members and artists who have joined us more recently. There are different genres, different editing styles, different ways of seeing the world. AND THAT IS WHAT THIS COMMUNITY IS ALL ABOUT.

One thing we've never wanted Unraveled to become is a place where everyone chases the same aesthetic. This isn't a popularity contest, and there isn't an "Unraveled look" we're trying to create. In fact, it's quite the opposite. We believe your job as an artist is to learn the fundamentals, understand the rules, and then intentionally break them in a way that feels true to you.

Because that's where the good shit lives.

Not in copying someone else's presets. Not in recreating the latest Instagram trend. Not in making photographs that look like everyone else's. It lives in making photographs that could only come from you.

The artists we're celebrating this week all approach photography differently, but they have one thing in common: their work feels honest. Intentional. Distinctly theirs. That's what we're always hoping to cultivate inside Unraveled, not a community of photographers who all create the same images, but a community of artists who have the confidence to create work that reflects their own voice.

We're so excited to introduce this week's featured artists. We hope their work inspires you not to photograph like them, but to keep chasing what makes your own work unmistakably yours.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NEWEST UNRAVELED ARTIST OF THE YEAR…

Anna Owen

Anna is one of our OG Unraveled artists, and today we see her loud and clear. The use of negative space, the cool blues of the water against the warmth of her skin, the way the light ripples across her body, and the filmic edit all come together to create an image that feels calm, timeless, and completely embodies childhood summer. It's the kind of photograph that makes you remember what the water felt like on your skin, the sound of cicadas, and how summer seemed to last forever. Beautiful work, Anna.

Congratulations to Anna and to ALL of the featured artisits of Unraveled.

Keep learning. Keep growing. Keep creating.
